WHAT UNDERGROUND IS
Underground is first and foremost, a social event. It’s a great night for us all to catch up with friends in a wonderful and very versatile venue. The Wakefield Hotel, in the CBD, has a great layout with a GREAT dance floor complete with a great lighting rig and a banging sound system.
The dance room is not the whole focus though. There are plenty of chairs, tables, and room for good conversation and catch-ups.
We’re wanting to create a welcoming and inclusive nightclub night where the music is great for a solid boogie, and that also includes space for a more relaxed time so that everyone is having a good time.
So dress in gear, dress in frocks, or come as you are and get ready for a stellar dance social.
WHAT UNDERGROUND ISN'T
We’ve been asked if Underground will be a play-party, or a mini GEAR’d. The short answer is no.
Whilst we’re hoping everyone will dress for effect, theres no expectation to do so. We are deliberately not using the word “Party” because amongst those who know, “Party” often means play equipment, DMs, and a lot more.. Underground will not have any equipment, space in the cloak-room for your toys, or play safety monitoring – because there’ll not be play.
There wont be any competitions, presentations, stage shows, or ceremony. Whilst there will be the energy of our Evolution party, you’ll be disappointed if you’re hoping for shenanegans.
